11年前，包校迎来了深耕教育领域多年的吴子建校长。此前，吴子健校长曾在上海建青实验学校工作多年。建庆实验学校是一所设有幼儿园、小学、初中的15年制综合学校。自1984年建校以来，一直在进行探索和实验。作为特聘校长，他很早就开始在招生、学制、课程教学等方面探索突破性改革。

在教学特色上，包校秉承“以人为本”、“因材施教”的办学理念，努力让民办教育在满足部分家庭特殊教育需求的同时，也提供为这些家庭的孩子提供更加多样化、丰富的课程。
吴子健校长认为，美育和体育有助于释放孩子的天性，激发孩子的学习潜力。包校致力于让美育和体育核心能力内化为学生。包校体育活动具有时间长、项目多、挑战性强、与社会实践紧密结合的特点。小学每天体育课和课外活动90分钟，中学每天2小时。体育活动不仅锻炼了学生的体力，还锻炼了他们的心理和意志。
